The (Not So) Lazy Days of June

June arrived and left in the blink of an eye!

It's hard to believe that an entire month of summer vacation already passed us by.  But such is life.  The more kids you have the faster it goes!  The kids may drive me crazy at times, but I am so thankful for the time I get to spend with them.  One day, in the not so distant future, I'll be wishing this time back!

In June, we...

...celebrated one of the last days of 2nd and 4th grade and enjoyed quiet time on our sunporch.

...bought a ridiculous amount of apples, made homemade playdoh, and discovered the joy of playing with a cozy coupe.

...visited with a dear friend we haven't seen since 2002!  I met Carol in the same musical I was cast opposite of Grant.  We shared the same birthday 20 years apart.  We loved her dearly, but she remarried and moved to Texas.  We finally reconnected on Facebook a few months ago and we got together when she came back for a visit.  It was SO wonderful to see her, but it only made us miss her and that time of our lives even more.

  1. Wow, what a fun-filled June!! I feel the same way; where did the time go? I love how you seem to capture almost everything! It's so important to remember both the big and small moments; otherwise, our lives go by in a blur, and we forget all the important memories we made along the way. I love this!!

    1. I can't believe July is halfway over. Where does time go?!?
I was totally kidding about the apples, but I'm sure if I added up the weights of all the apples I bought in June, the number would be crazy high! Dylan and Lily can't get enough!
