Early in September, we headed into Pittsburgh to go to the Irish Fest.
My dear friend, Amber, had some extra tickets, and invited our family to join them. It was so nice to spend the day with Amber, Rex, Audrey, and Jack!
We arrived shortly after the gates opened. It wasn't crowded at all, so we headed to the craft area first. The kids had a lot of fun making crowns, stained glass windows, and necklaces!
They all got their faces and arms painted before we moved on.
We explored the shops and booths, then took a break by the river. I adore these kids. They're like family and I hope they always remain this close!
By that point, Liam needed a snack break, so we sat down at the picnic tables while Grant and Rex shopped some more.
We attempted a group photo on our way out, but Lily was overtired and refused to join in!
Our final stop was at the Wishing Tree. Dylan and Lexie wrote out their wishes and found the perfect spot on the tree.
We left the Irish Fest and went out to eat together, before returning home.
That evening, we all met back up for our Community Day Fireworks. Our township has the best fireworks in the area, and we never went prior to that night! I'm so glad we did. We'll definitely be returning every year!
It was the perfect way to end a great day spent with friends!
