35 Weeks with Baby #4!

It's so hard to believe that I've reached 35 weeks!  This was the week that Dylan was born, so I figured it was a good week to add labor signs to my weekly post!  I'm not expecting to go too early, but I'm not thinking I'll make it farther than I did with Lily. (I hope not!  Two months of feeling like I'm in labor is PLENTY!)  Either way, I only have about 2-4 weeks to go!!!

How far along: 35 Weeks!

Due Date:  September 6, 2013

Total Weight Gained:  6 lbs

How big is baby?  Our sweet pea is over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds.  Uh, yeah!  Just to put it into perspective, Dylan was born a month early and was already 20 inches and 7 lbs!!!

How baby is growing:  Baby #4 doesn't have much room to maneuver now. The kidneys are fully developed now, and the liver can process some waste products. Most of his/her basic physical development is now complete — he/she will spend the next few weeks putting on weight. {from babycenter.com}

Labor Signs:  The baby's head is very low and he/she is in birthing position!  Strong and frequent Braxton Hicks contractions, but that doesn't mean anything for me!

Maternity Clothes: I'm still wearing my regular pants, but I now wear longer, non-maternity shirts.

Stretch Marks: I've never had any! Fingers crossed!

Sleep: Sleep isn't happening much these days.  I can't fall asleep, then once I do, a strong contraction wakes me up every hour!

Best Pregnancy Moment of the Week:  Buying the carseat, Rock and Play, and coming home outfits!!!

Movement: Strong, frequent movements along with hiccups!  I can now feel feet, knees, elbows, and hands jutting out as they punch or kick me!

Food Cravings:  Watermelon and freezer pops.  That's all I want to eat!

Food Aversions: Most foods/drinks.

Morning Sickness: Every single day. Obviously, I'm going to have it until the day I deliver, just as I did with my other three!

Gender: It's a surprise! We have never found out the gender of our babies!

Names: If it's a girl, she has a definite first name (it was actually our 2nd girl name for our 3 previous pregnancies), and I think we have a middle name.  It's the opposite for a boy.  The middle name will be Dayne, after Grant's dad's middle name (he passed away in October, before we got pregnant), but we don't have a first name.  We have a list, but we can't agree on the name, and nothing sounds perfect!

Symptoms:  Hyperemesis  (ALL DAY morning sickness), Strong Braxton Hicks contractions (irritable uterus), back pain, pressure, abdominal pain and cramping, anemia, peeing more frequently, insomnia, nesting, headaches, mood swings, and irritability.

Exercise:  Treadmill workouts 4 days this week.

What I miss: Being nausea-free!

What I'm looking forward to: My appointment on Tuesday.

  10. You look amazing!!! I gained over 50lbs with my pregnancy...Every time I stopped eating, I'd feel sick!

I can't believe you're already at 35 weeks...so close!!! I'm very excited for you. I'm sure you'll come up w/ the perfect boy name in the hospital (if you have a boy). What do you think you're going to have? Are you carrying a certain way? I'm so bad... I wish you all the luck in the world. Who knows...maybe this little one will be greeting you this month :)

  11. You look great!! Good luck picking a boy name. I think I knew we were going to have a boy just because we could not agree to save our lives before we found out what we were having.
