Strawberry Fields Forever

On Tuesday morning, we met our group of friends at a local berry patch to pick strawberries.  This was a first for the kids and I!

We weren't sure if the weather was going to cooperate, but fortunately, it did.  It was overcast, but the thunderstorms stayed away, allowing us to spend an hour picking berries with our friends!

Lexie does not like strawberries (or any fruit for that matter...weirdo!), but she gave it a shot and picked a few berries of her own before handing the container to me.  Dylan wasted no time in filling his to overflowing, and Lily was just as enthusiastic.  She happily picked the berries, put them in her bucket, and sampled a few along the way!

Before leaving, we took a few group pictures to document the occasion.  It's hard to believe that these toddler girls were BABIES when we first met!

While us moms were getting our picture taken, some of the kids sat down for a snack.

Even though it was a quick activity and the owner of the berry patch was an evil witch, it was definitely fun!  I hope we can do it again next year!

  4. How fun! Minus the owner... I am hoping that I am healed enough to take the boys next week when I have my mom to keep the baby out of the sun! Fresh strawberries are the best!

You captured some lovely pictures here, your kiddos are so cute! Your littlest girl is adorable, I love the pic of her crouching down with the strawberries.
Looks like a fun way to spend a couple of hours, hope the berries tasted good!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog recently, I have been terribly slack with posting and reading but am getting back into it now :)
