29 Weeks with Baby #4

How far along: 29 Weeks

Due Date:  September 6, 2013

Total Weight Gained:
As of Monday, I reached my pre-pregnancy weight!  Which means I should only gain about 10 pounds, and I'll be under my pre-pregnancy weight right after I deliver.  It's the only, and I mean ONLY perk about prolonged morning sickness!

How big is baby?  Our sweet pea
weighs about 2 1/2 pounds and is just over 15 inches long!

How baby is growing:  Baby #4's
muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and the head is growing bigger to make room for the developing brain.   {from babycenter.com}

Maternity Clothes: I'm still wearing my regular clothes, but I do wear some longer, non-maternity shirts now.

Stretch Marks: I still don't have any! I've never had one before, so I'm hoping that trend continues!

Sleep: Sleep is very interrupted these days.  I can't get comfortable, the baby moves non-stop, and I'm starting to wake up more often to pee.

Best Pregnancy Moment of the Week:
Hearing the heartbeat again!  It's always a relief to hear a good, strong beat!

Movement:  Baby #4 is a crazy mover and is getting really strong!  This week, the movements were so strong that my belly was actually visibly shaking from side to side.  Weird and amazing, even the 4th time around!

Food Cravings:  None.

Food Aversions:
Almost everything.

Morning Sickness:
I still have hyperemesis, and I'm taking daily medication for it.  Even though I'm sick every day, it has been tolerable.  I've reached the point where I'm used to it.  The past 4 days have been really rough, though.  I've been very nauseous and I'm throwing up more than I have in the past few weeks.

Gender: It's a surprise! We have never found out the gender of our babies!

Names: If it's a girl, she has a definite first name (it was actually our 2nd girl name for our 3 previous pregnancies), but we're still deciding on the middle name.  It's the opposite for a boy.  The middle name will be Dayne, after Grant's dad's middle name (he passed away in October, before we got pregnant), but we don't have a first name.  We have a list, but we can't agree on the name, and nothing sounds perfect!

Symptoms:  Hyperemesis  (ALL DAY morning sickness), Braxton Hicks contractions (irritable uterus), back pain, pressure, abdominal pain, anemia, constipation, peeing more frequently, headaches, and irritability

ExerciseTreadmill workouts Monday-Friday this week. I've been interval training between a fast walk and slow run, while varying the incline.  Getting daily exercise is the only thing that makes me feel like I'm in control right now.

What I miss: Feeling normal.  I have been sick since January 3rd! I'm going to be thrilled to be nausea-free!

What I'm looking forward to:
My next appointment, which is just over a week away!  I am now going every 2 weeks!

29 Week Picture:  I'm keeping it completely real this week.  Ponytail and teary eyes, due to a violent round of vomiting prior to taking the picture, and workout clothes, because I still haven't made it onto the treadmill!
