Mother's Day, Short and Sweet

 photo 023-16.jpg

I had a wonderful Mother's Day with my 3.5 blessings!

After sleeping in and snuggling with my kids, they were so eager to give me the ginormous card they had chosen for me, the pictures they drew, and the boxes of my favorite chocolates.  I got to lay in bed a bit longer, eating a few of those chocolates, while Grant made a big breakfast.  After breakfast, I drank my hot tea and relaxed while Grant and the big kids did the dishes.  My day started off perfectly!

Thanks to a canceled baseball practice, there was even time for a 2 hour nap before we went to my parent's house to visit my amazing mom and 4 of my sisters.  It was loud and chaotic there, but that's typical!  I do hope that I am as lucky as her, and get to spend the day with my kids when they are older, just like she does!

After that visit, we stopped by to visit Grant's mom and Grandma.  I'm so thankful for my awesome inlaws!

When we returned home, Grant cooked dinner, then he and the kids cleaned up and did all the dishes again.  Not having to cook or do dishes all day was a major win for me!

I put my babies to bed, with a few extra snuggles, then took a bubble bath.  I finally got to relax on the couch, feeling our newest addition squirm around,  while we watched a few shows.

The day was simple and perfect!

I am so lucky to be Dylan, Lexie, Lily, and Baby #4's mom!!!  My heart is full!
