Park Party

Today, we attended a 40th birthday party for my brother-in-law, Rick.

It was supposed to be a surprise party, but he found out at 3:00 this morning, when he wandered down to the basement refrigerator in his house, and found all the food!

The party was held at a local park, and it was chilly outside.  Okay, so it was about 65 degrees, but I was freezing! When it goes from 95 to 65 in a matter of days, it's a hard transition to deal with!

Everybody had fun, though!  The kids ran around with their cousins, I got to spend time with my siblings and dad, and there was so much food!  I just may have eaten two plates full of desserts!

Rick's party, although not a surprise, ended up going well!

We were at the park for 6 hours straight, and the kids were exhausted.  On the way home, all three of them fell asleep.  All that fresh air and play wore them out!

  2. I love parties for tiring the kids out - it's fun to see them go all out and then crash, hehe. I love Lily's party outfit!!!

  3. It was in the high sixties, low seventies here too...and I was freezing! I hate temp changes like that.

Looks like everyone had fun at the non-surprise party!
