Life with Three

We have spent the past 11 days adjusting to life with three kids. I am absolutely head over heels in love with my (bigger) family. These kids rock my world!

Grant was off work from the day Lily was born until this past Friday. It was so nice having him home with us. We really enjoyed our time together, bonding with our new baby girl. This week will be his first full week of work since Lily's birth day. It's back to reality for all of us!

Having a third child isn't as difficult as I expected. She fits in perfectly with our family, and the kids adore her. They are so helpful, and constantly want to hold her! They do have to fight mommy and daddy for cuddle time though. Lily is just so sweet and cuddly! I can't stop smooching her!

One thing I learned is that there is no time to rest and relax when you have a third child! Life just keeps going. We have been busy!

The day after we came home from the hospital, we went to my family reunion. Lily arrived just in time!

Dylan lost another tooth! Actually, it got knocked out while he was playing with his cousins. Thank goodness it was already loose!

Lexie loves being a big sister. She has been so happy!

The kids were so excited to help with Lily's first bath at home!

We cheered on the Steelers during their preseason game!

We introduced Lily to our crazy weekends, by attending two birthday parties on the same day!

Between parties, shopping, doctor appointments, and visits with family and friends, we've spent lots of time cuddling with our littlest love!

I am thrilled with my family of five. This is my new reality, and I happily embrace it!

  1. Those pictures are priceless!!! Isn't it funny how with the third there's NO down time? Life just keeps on rollin' and it's "no big deal" to have a 1 day old at a family reunion!

I remember going to a candlelight church service and banquet dinner 4 days after wingnut was born (and he was a c-section), with all 3 kids. Life just doesn't stop.

Keep taking {and sharing} the cute pics!!!

  2. So glad to hear you're enjoying yourself. When my daughter was born, it was a massive adjustment and I wanted so badly to say that I was enjoying every moment, but I just honestly couldn't. Maybe it'll get easier the next time around once I know what to expect ;).

    Beautiful family!

  12. I LOVE your pictures. The ones of the three kids together are just precious. I'm glad you are adjusting so well! I think it just depends on the personalities of the kids, but three was a great transition for us too.

  15. Sounds like business as usual around your house! Doesn't it feel good to not be pregnant anymore!! So, NOW you should tell us what you're craving, as opposed to during pregnancy when it was NOTHING! BTW, love the Big Bro/Big Sis shirts, we got the same ones for Graham and Macy. I posted a pic on my blog a couple days ago. :)

  20. I remember thinking one baby was a lot of work. Then with the 2nd you realize how easy you had it before. I can't imagine three! You look like you are handling it like a champ!
