It's no surprise that Lexie is in love with her pet hamster, Toby. He is, after all, super cute and cuddly!
Lexie is wonderful with him, but has been a bit possessive. Toby is supposed to be Dylan and Lexie's shared pet, but she took over, and he lives in her room. Toby has been her constant companion!
Dylan was feeling a bit left out, especially since his hermit crabs died. My dad had promised him a frog when he graduated from Kindergarten, but the pet store didn't have an appropriate frog for him. Instead, he came home with a hamster of his own!
Frank (although I think Franka, ahem, would be more appropriate) is a tiny ball of fluff!
Toby looks like a giant next to him (her)!
Even though I now have two habitats to clean, they are surprisingly low maintenance, and the kids love them! There aren't many squabbles over who gets to hold the hamster anymore. I have two happy hamster owners!
This is so so cute! We had bunnies as pets and they were a total pain. Have been considering hamsters but worry my kids will squish them!?
ReplyDeleteOur hamsters were always a little skittish. Maybe because we had cats???
ReplyDeleteHow sweet! I think they are super precious, CB has always wanted a hamster.
ReplyDeleteThose pictures are precious. My daughter would love to have a pet like that to play with her. I can just see her with him in her little dollhouse now.
ReplyDeleteFrank(a) fits in perfectly with his/her Lego environment that Dylan created. :)
ReplyDeleteThey look like they do well with them! I love hamsters - just hate cleaning the cages.
ReplyDeleteYou are so brave to have two dogs, two hamsters, and a snake in your house. I bow down to you.
ReplyDeletehaha.. I am laughing so hard right about now. Oh how our kids would get along so well. ;)
ReplyDeleteI had three hamsters when I was younger and they are really great pets (as long as they are nice ones, which they usually will be as long as you handle them enough though I did have one that was a biter and we took that crazy one back). The cages are easy enough to clean and the overall commitment is minimal in the grand scheme. Such cute pics!
ReplyDeleteHow adorable! We loved the brief time we had hamsters (they were little escape artists), so I know the kids are having a blast!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm just thankful you didn't show us pictures of your husband's pet! You are brave!
Oh my gosh! The hampster in the tea cups is too funny. I used to have a hampster named Penelope.
ReplyDeleteThey look so sweet with their little friends - congrats to Dylan on his new addition :)
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute how they play with them with there toys!
ReplyDeletelove the teacup pic. We had a few gerbils when I was a kid. I was petrified of holding them though...
ReplyDeleteSo cute!!! glad to see they are having precious times with their little friends :)
