Toby Hamsterdam

Dylan and Lexie are in love with their new hamster, Toby! Toby Hamsterdam, to be exact. A few days after we got him, Lexie lovingly suggested we name him after her favorite song, Amsterdam. And the name? It just kind of stuck!

Toby is cute, friendly, and sweet. He's a perfect fit for our family!

  1. You're not planning on feeding that to the snake, are you??? :)

  2. Does he have a ball? One of our favorite, and possibly cruel passtimes w/ our hamsters was to roll up a magazine or newspaper, stick him inside, let him crawl up to the top and then make him slide down but standing it upright. Doesn't sound that fun anymore, but when we were kids it was :) They're cute, but man can they stink!

  4. So you're keeping the hamster way far away from the snake, right? You are braver than me!!

  5. HOw cute! Looks like a hamster I had when I was younger. I've been debating getting Peanut a hamster for her b-day. Just not sure if I want to take care of one yet.

  12. hehe.. so cute! My kids are dying for some kind of animal, but I'm just not ready. If you don't have one of those ball thingys they can roll around in, you have to get one. I have seen those and they are by far too cool.

  14. I think he is totally cute...as long as he is at your house! I'm hoping we can avoid the "I want a rodent for a pet" thing as long as possible:)
