Tuesday Tidbits

I'm keeping it short and sweet this week!

Dylan came into our bedroom around 5:30 this morning. He crawled into bed next to me and asked me to go get his water from his room. I told him that I wasn't getting out of bed, and that if he wanted it, he could get it. For the next 20 minutes, he whined every few seconds, "Mom-meeee, get my water!" I refused. Finally he was quiet. A few seconds later, he quietly whispered, "Mommy, but you're my friend, and friends are supposed to do things for each other." Manipulative much? Needless to say, we reached a compromise, and walked into his room together to get his water.

Lexie overheard my dad call my mom "Dear" tonight. For the remainder of the night, she referred to my mom as "Dear." "Dear, can you get me some milk?" "I love you, Dear." "Bye, Dear!"

There's a new lovey in town. Although BunBun is still Lexie's main squeeze, he's getting mighty nervous. Strawberry Shortcake and her kitty, Custard, who just happens to be about the size of a nickel, are Lexie's new favorite toys. She has them in her hand all the time! It's time to go buy a backup set, because I'm sick of searching for that tiny kitty every day. As if BunBun wasn't enough to keep track of!

  1. Oh yes, Dylan sure knows how to work that magic, huh? =0)

I'm like you though.... if you want it, go get it! I don't know if that makes me a lazy mommy or just teaching my kids independence. I'm gonna say "Independance" cuz that sounds better!

  2. Way to compromise! I love how she called her dear. Alex will sometimes call my husband, babe or honey cause thats what I call him. It is funny!!
