Good news

We got the results of Lexie's current pancreatic elastase test today. The good news is that we don't have to pursue Cystic Fibrosis testing anymore! Phew! That's a huge relief!!!

The bad news is, we still have no idea why Lexie has had diarrhea every day for almost 6 months. She has an appointment in early July with her Gastroenterologist , and will probably have a few more tests done. If we don't get answers after that appointment, we are switching to a new practice, because this has gone on long enough!

Poor Lexie can't take it anymore.

  1. Great news on the no CF, but darn it, what is going on with that girl?! I don't know her history, but our little Beast had terrible gastro issues until he was 2. Reflux, diarrhea (which they thought was colitis, then an allergy, but finally determined it was because his reflux wasn't fully controlled. Once we got his meds right, the bad poos went away). I hope you find a treatment that works soon, poor girl!

  5. Not sure of all Lexie's history, but one of ours spent months dealing with diarrhea, failure to thrive, malnurishment, low bone density. After more than a year he was diagnosed with Mastocytosis. It is well undercontrol today and he is growing healthy! Praise the Lord! If you would like to check out more info on Mastocytosis feel free to visit us at:
